SimplyBox – revolutionizing student research?

I came across SimplyBox in a Diigo posting recently and have since fallen in love with the service. In their own words:

Teachers and Students

Quickly and visually share with your students/colleagues a world of educational content the Web offers – engage them!

  • Capture / share web videos, part of pages, pictures, photos – add your thoughts and get theirs!
  • Complements other Digital Learning solutions.
  • Since SimplyBox is web based, you and your students/colleagues can access the information from anywhere and from any computer.

I’ve created a video walkthrough on how SimplyBox could be used to provide guidance to students when doing research on the InterWebs. Check it out below…

Check it out at simplybox.com and see an example here.

Jerry,
This was terrific and your tutorial saved me a few hours of having to figure this out for myself. Thank you for sharing this great find!

Thanks for this great tutorial and your post on EDTECH! I’ll definitely use this in my computer classes–grades 3-8. Do you ever have students use their own accounts for research?

Just received an email from Simply Box support–it’s compatible with Mac OS 10.5 Leopard but not 10.4 at this time.
